Kristi Noem has been tapped to be Secretary of Homeland Security

Kristi Noem is South Dakota’s first female governor since 2019, and had served on the House of Representatives since 2007.

Noem co-sponsored the bill to federally ban abortion, and had also co-sponsored the bill to Amend the 14th Amendment to ban abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

While touting for a “balanced” energy approach, she’s been a proponent of the Keystone Pipeline, and pushed to reopen oil leases in the Gulf of Mexico and off the Coast of Virginia.  She also pushed to designate grasslands in South Dakota as protected wilderness.

Noem opposed the Affordable Care Act, but fought to except under the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, but she also fought to cut Medicaid by 55% for seniors.

In 2020, Noem’s 26 year-old daughter was denied her real estate Appraisers license.  Noem filed action and got the person fired from their job for denying her.

Noem was banned from entering all Tribal lands in South Dakota after making statements that illegals were using the reservations to process and distribute drugs.

Noem is a strong opponent of LGBTQ rights and gay marriage, and has pushed “fairness in sports”.  She also instituted a bill that would put prayers back in school.

In her autobiography, Noem brags about shooting her 14 month-old dog for being “untrainable”, and killing the family goat for being “disgusting”.  She also lied in the book, stating that she had met Kim Jong Un, and saying that she was at one point slated to meet The President of France, which the President of France denies.
